Millennium Imports Pty Ltd began with a simple idea: Sri Lankans in Australia shouldn't have to go without the tastes, brands and comforts of home.

The company was established in June 2018 by Pathum Jayawardena as a subsidiary of Millennium Filling Pty Ltd, the family business Pathum founded in 2015 after building a successful career across Australia's retail and automotive industries. Pathum, together with his wife and business partner Champika Jayawardena, had spent over a decade living, studying and raising a family in Sydney - and like so many in the Sri Lankan diaspora, they understood exactly how much a familiar brand on a supermarket shelf could mean.

What began as a small importation venture has grown into one of Australia's most trusted names in Sri Lankan grocery distribution. Today, Millennium Imports proudly represents almost every major Sri Lankan brand - from household names like Munchee, Elephant House and CIC, to specialty favourites like Siddhalepa, Ceylonta and Harischandra - supplying supermarkets, grocers and specialty stores right across the country.

Guided by Managing Director Pathum Jayawardena, Director Champika Jayawardena, and Senior Sales Manager Udaya Alahendra - whose combined experience spans decades in sales, marketing, food science and retail across both Sri Lanka and Australia - Millennium Imports continues to grow its portfolio and its reach, welcoming new brand partnerships each year and bringing an ever-expanding taste of Sri Lanka to Australian shelves.
